Hardcore Recovery — effective July 4, 2026
The short version, in our voice: your recovery is your business. The app stores everything on your device. We run no analytics, set no trackers, and operate no database of users. The only personal data that ever exists on a server is what Stripe needs to process a payment if you buy PRO — and that lives with Stripe, not us.
Everything you enter — your name, what you're quitting, check-ins, journal entries, goals, chat messages to the Sarge, your sobriety clock — is stored in your browser's or device's local storage, on your device only. It is never transmitted to us. We could not read it if we wanted to, and we don't want to.
If you purchase PRO, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details, email, and billing address under its own privacy policy; we never see your card number. Our server verifies payment status with Stripe to issue your license and to restore purchases by email on request. We use aggregated sales data (for example, revenue by country) for business reporting.
Our marketing website (hardcorerecovery.app) uses Vercel Web Analytics — a cookieless, privacy-preserving visit counter. It sets no cookies, stores no personal data, does not track you across sites, and cannot identify you. The app itself (app.hardcorerecovery.app) contains no analytics of any kind.
The app periodically fetches product announcements from our server. That request contains no personal data or identifiers.
The Sarge chat is a scripted feature that runs entirely on your device — messages you type are not sent to any server or AI service. The app is a self-accountability tool, not medical care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or SAMHSA at 1-800-662-4357.
Your data is yours. Use the app's Back Up button to export it, and clear your browser or app storage to delete it completely — that removes everything, instantly, because there is no server copy to chase. To delete Stripe payment records, contact us and we will handle it with Stripe.
Hardcore Recovery is intended for adults (18+) in recovery and is not directed at children.
